Tom Shadyac is one of Hollywood’s most successful directors. Shadyac began his directing career in 1994 with the breakout hit Ace Ventura: Pet Detective followed by the comedy blockbusters The Nutty Professor and Liar, Liar, Golden Globe nominated Patch Adams, Dragonfly and his most recent smash hit, Bruce Almighty. Shadyac’s multifaceted career also includes producing through his Shady Acres Entertainment banner based at Universal Pictures. In addition to directing and producing feature films, Shadyac also produces the hit comedy TV series 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter for Touchstone/ABC.
Tom has long believed in giving back and is a committed supporter of numerous charitable organizations. He has long admired the charitable work of Paul Newman and his company “Newman’s Own”. Now, like “Newman’s Own,” Tom Shadyac’s company, HtoO, is giving 100% of its profits after taxes to charities around the globe.
